I am so excited! Because James is an amazing hard worker he was awarded a Disney Gift Card to use for tickets to Disneyland! How amazing is that?!
James and I were originally going to go in November when we were planning out our budget for vacations but we had car issues (after car issues) and needless to say we had put our disneyland plans on the back burner. So this was a really fun surprise for us and we are very excited!!!
And we've decided to make it a family trip. We looked up the requirements and there really are only 8 or so rides that Jack wouldn't be able to go with us on. So that's not much of a sacrifice at all. James hasn't been back for a really long time, so we're excited to have some childhood fun. Even though Jack won't remember it it will still be fun for us.
Some of our things we're excited to see for the first time:
A Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion

that's awesome!!! we are going to try to go in april. alan's parents live outside LA so we're just going to stay with them. if you need a place to stay, i can ask them...they have people stay with them all the time. anyway, have fun! i'm completely jealous!
Well, being an experienced Disneyland goer here are my tips :)
-space mountain has new and improved music/etc. it's a must
-there's also the new submarine ride (it used to be submarines now it's finding nemo submarine) I'm sure Jack would love watching all the cool sea creatures under water.
-if you do happen to go to CA adventure (the season pass is not much more than the normal price of a single ticket and it includes CA adventure) anyways, if you go there too you HAVE to go on CA soarin (a simulated helicopter ride over CA's wonderful sites, it's amazing) and you have to go to the tortilla factory and get a fresh just out of the oven flour tortilla (free)...SO good.
-indiana jones is always my fav. and of course anything you do will be fun!
I'm jealous have tons of fun!

Awesome! Great work, James! You guys are going to have a blast! My advice: watch a parade (and get there at least 30 min. early so you get good seats ... we bought lunch and ate on the street while we waited.)
